This new briefing series aims to provide regular overviews of the current state of the European Union enlargement process in the Western Balkans. The updates seek to track political developments, reform progress, and institutional debates affecting Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia on their path toward EU membership. In addition to developments within the candidate countries themselves, the briefings also examine the evolving perspectives within EU institutions and member states in Brussels, highlighting key policy discussions, initiatives, and strategic  onsiderations shaping the future of enlargement.
