Call for Applications: Social-democratic regional women’s leadership academy 2021

The Academy aims to bring Western Balkan women politicians and activists together in a broad front to fight for an equal, developed, responsible society, based on European values of peace and prosperity - a women-friendly society.

Special focus will be given to practical political education with the topics:

• Gender analysis
• New feminism
• Position of women during the corona crisis
• Social democracy and gender equality
• Political campaigning and communication
• Leadership
• Gender Statistics
• Policy Development
• Public appearance

The program of the seminar will include theoretical and practical aspects - interactive lectures, panel discussions, trainings and group work.

Working languages will be (Ex-YU Region) Montenegrin, Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian with simultaneous translation to Macedonian and Albanian, with the notice that participants should preferably speak English during informal communication.

Organizers will cover all costs related to the Academy's activities: travel expenses, accommodation in double bedrooms, food and working materials.

Who can apply?

Women politicians in social democratic political parties and civil society organizations, and activist´s groups, who want to contribute to building and strengthening an active, democratic, responsible and equal society on the national and regional level, coming from Albania, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.

How to apply?

The applicants must fill out all requested information in an online applicationform in the languages of the Ex-Yu region or English until August 20^th.

Participants will be informed about the selection by August 27^th  the latest.

Selection criteria

The participants will be selected based on political experience, organizational position, leadership potential, dedication to equality issues, as well as motivation and readiness for further political and social engagement.

Selection of candidates will be processed by the Academy’s expert team at its sole discretion.
