Our host Hana Sokolović spoke with Marija in Novi Sad about several prominent trends in Serbian society. From increasing threats to democracy, to structural inequalities and social mobilization - addressing even the paradox of banning LGBTQ+ EuroPride 2022 in a country with an openly lesbian Prime Minister.

Do people in Serbia still believe in effectiveness of activist protests in their country? The consistent anxiety of parallel crisis - or the perpetual creation of them - prevents the community from moving forward, according to Marija.

For a conversation on what the essence of activism and why it is necessary - in every-day experiences of an activist, listen in on the full episode #ConFESsions vodcast!
