Live Stream: Far-right international in Southeast Europe

We would like to invite you to attend the live stream session on Far-right international in Southeast Europe – How it ruins democracy and supports the rise of authoritarianism on upcoming Monday, November 30th from 17:30. The live-stream will be hosted on our Facebook page.

While the far-right in Southeast Europe is still seen as a marginal phenomenon, its ideological closeness to pervasive authoritarian patterns and ideologies in the region is very worrying. To put it directly, the far-right ideology, discourses, and policies are directed against democratic institutions and those democratic and emancipatory forces fighting for more democratic, free, and just societies.

Together with the Institute for Democratic Engagement Southeast Europe (IDESE), we will be hosting a discussion panel on the rise of the far right and identity politics in Southeast Europe.

This discussion panel is a continuation of our Academia in Dialogue series. Due to the existing circumstances, the forum will be hosted online via Zoom. Nevertheless, we invite you to join our live-streamed session on Facebook, where you will be able to post questions to our speakers related to the topic.
